Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between DongDong Game Studio ("Company") and users in relation to the use of the mobile game "Cat Tavern" ("Game") provided by the Company.

2. Effect and Amendment of the Terms

These Terms take effect upon being posted within the Game or on this page.
The Company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law and will give prior notice specifying the effective date and reason for any change.

3. Use of the Service

You may use the Game anonymously without a separate sign-up.
You may optionally link a Google or Apple account; when linked, your game progress data can be stored in the cloud and synchronized across devices.
The Game may provide platform game services such as achievements and leaderboards (Google Play Games / Apple Game Center).
The Company strives to provide a stable service; the service may be temporarily suspended due to maintenance, faults, force majeure, etc.

4. Account Linking and Data Management

Unlinking an account only disconnects the login link; deletion of cloud save data is processed upon a separate deletion request.
You may request account / data deletion via the in-game menu [Settings > Account > Delete account and cloud data] or via the contact.
If you do not use cloud save, your game progress data is stored only on your device and may be lost when the app is uninstalled.
The specifics of collection, use, and delegation of personal information are governed by the separate Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising

The Game is provided free of charge, and in-app ads (Google AdMob) may be shown to support operations.
You may purchase an ad-removal product to remove ad display.

6. Payment, Withdrawal, and Refunds

In-app purchases are provided through Google Play or the Apple App Store; the type, price, and contents of paid items are shown on the purchase screen.
Payment is charged through the payment method of the store you choose; the Company does not directly store payment instrument details.
Withdrawal of purchase: You may request withdrawal under applicable law (the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce). However, withdrawal may be restricted for digital content that has been immediately used or consumed or whose benefit arises immediately (e.g., immediately granted in-game currency), as permitted by law; the Company notifies you of such restriction before purchase.
Refunds / overcharges: Refunds and overcharge reimbursements follow the relevant store's policies and applicable law. The Company reimburses any overcharge arising from a payment error.
Minors' purchases: If a minor makes a purchase without the consent of a legal representative, the user or the legal representative may request cancellation in accordance with applicable law.
Ad-removal product: Permanent products such as ad removal can be restored via the store's purchase-restore feature within the same store account.

7. Users' Obligations and Prohibited Conduct

You must not engage in the following:

Interfering with the normal operation of the Game (exploiting bugs / vulnerabilities, etc.)
Reverse engineering the game client, or abnormally manipulating game data such as memory or saved values
Forging or altering payment receipts or purchase tokens
Using automation programs such as macros / bots
Fraudulently registering leaderboard scores / achievements or fraudulently obtaining ad rewards
Infringing the intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties
Violating applicable laws or these Terms

8. Use Restrictions and Sanctions

If you violate Section 7, the Company may take measures proportionate to the severity, including warnings, restriction of certain features, deletion or restoration restriction of fraudulently obtained data (cloud save, leaderboard scores, etc.), and restriction of account use.
You may object to such measures via the contact below, and the Company will sincerely review legitimate objections.

9. Rights to Content

Intellectual property rights to the Game and all in-game content (graphics, audio, code, etc.) belong to the Company or its rightful holders.

10. Publicly Displayed Game Service Information

When you use achievements / leaderboards, your player name, scores, and achievements may be displayed to other users in accordance with the platform's (Google Play Games / Apple Game Center) policies.

11. Changes to and Termination of the Service

The Company may change or terminate all or part of the service; if the service is fully terminated, the Company gives prior notice of the termination date and reason.
Upon service termination, the Company takes necessary measures such as refunds for any unused paid items held by users in accordance with applicable law. However, already-delivered permanent products such as ad removal are handled within the scope recoverable via store restore.

12. Disclaimer

The Company is not liable for damages caused by acts of God, force majeure, or causes attributable to the user. This does not apply, however, where there is intent or gross negligence on the part of the Company, or where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
For damages arising from faults or policy changes in features provided by third parties (Google, Apple, etc.) such as advertising, payments, account linking, and game services, the Company's liability is limited to the extent beyond its control. This does not apply where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes related to use of the service are subject to the court determined by the procedures set out in applicable law.
